Internships

Internships have become the prerequisite in today's highly competitive job market. Employers expect that students will have at least one internship experience as an undergraduate so internships are no longer a nicety but rather a necessity. An internship provides students with the opportunity to integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional workplace setting. They allow students to clarify their interests and gain tangible skills that employers seek. For more information about internships, email Julie Draczynski '99, director of employer engagement for the Center for Career Development.
