Internships are an important part of students’ undergraduate experience.
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional workplace setting.* Internships provide students an opportunity to work in an industry of interest to clarify their interest and gain tangible skills that employers seek. Employers expect that students will have at least one internship experience on their resume so internships are no longer a nicety but rather a necessity.
The Center for Career Development (CCD) helps students clarify their internship goals and identify industries and internship opportunities to explore. Additionally, we assist students with application materials and interview preparation so they can put their best foot forward. The student needs to drive the internship search process but the CCD is here to support them every step of the way! We have relationships with a variety of internship partners so we can steer students to employers that have a history of hiring or who specifically recruit 51С»Æ³µ students.
