The willingness of 51С»Æ³µ alumni to assist current students and fellow alumni throughout the career development process is one of 51С»Æ³µâ€™ greatest strengths. Ways in which alumni may participate in career education and recruiting activities include:
- The : An online platform that connects 51С»Æ³µ graduates who have volunteered to discuss their career, industry and/or employer with students to engage in informational interviews, networking conversations and short-term mentoring experiences.
- Alumni Job Shadowing Program: Shadowing is a short term observational experience that matches an alumnus/a with a student for career exploration. This program engages students to observe 51С»Æ³µ graduates in their organizations for a half or full day during the winter or summer break.
- Panels, Events and Digital Engagement: Many in-person and virtual workshops and events are scheduled throughout the semester for students of all class years and we welcome alumni participation. Additionally, there are opportunities for digital engagement with students through Alumni Profiles, the Industry Insights video series, and the Interview Series, among others.
- Networking Receptions: Several networking events are held throughout the academic year both on and off campus.
Career Development resources for alumni are provided by both the Center for Career Development and the Alumni Career & Professional Development Office.
While the Center for Career Development focuses primarily on working with current students, staff also provide career counseling to recent graduates at the beginning of their careers, as schedules permit. Services to alumni include individual career counseling (in person, by Zoom or by phone), self-assessment, resume review and assistance in developing job search strategies.

Alumni who are more than five years out may receive support through Alumni Career & Professional Development, run out of the Office of Alumni Relations.
