The Office of Mission sponsors programs that allow faculty, staff and alumni to engage more deeply with the College’s Jesuit, Catholic identity. It also serves as a resource, supporting similar efforts across the campus.

Fr. Keith Maczkiewicz, S.J. is the Associate Vice President for Mission and Ministry at the College of the 51С»Æ³µ, where he is now serving for the third time. ÌýPrior to this most recent posting, he was Director of Campus Ministry and University Chaplain at Fairfield University from 2021-2024. A native of Long Island, New York, he joined the East Coast Province Jesuits in the summer of 2008. His ministry has been mainly in campus ministry at the college and high school level, in retreat work, and in faith formation, as he served as the DRE at a diverse parish in Oakland, CA. Fr. Maczkiewicz was ordained a priest in June 2018 and has worked in campus ministry at Georgetown University, the College of the 51С»Æ³µ, and the University of Scranton from 2006-2008, when he also lived in Hafey Hall as a resident minister. A graduate of Fairfield University (B.A.) and Providence College (M.Ed.), after entering the Society of Jesus, Keith completed his philosophy studies (M.A.) at Loyola University Chicago and his theology studies (M.Div., Th.M., S.T.L.) at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA. ÌýHe graduated in May 2024 from the inaugural Executive Doctor of Higher Education cohort at Boston College, earning an Ed.D with a special concentration in Catholic Higher Ed.

Dr. Kyle WoolleyÌýserves as Director of Mission Initiatives at the College of the 51С»Æ³µ. In this role, Kyle facilitates a variety of mission-based programs for faculty and staff that examine the College’s Ignatian heritage including its commitment to the education of the whole person and promotion of a faith that does justice.ÌýÌý

Kyle completed his doctorate in sociology at Loyola University Chicago in 2019 and holds degrees from Brandeis University and Saint Anselm College. His teaching is informed by Ignatian Pedagogy and community-based learning. Kyle previously served as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Assumption University. His research focuses on Latin American social movements, poverty and inequality, social justice, and the politics of water. Kyle has published articles in Qualitative Sociology and Sociology of Development. He currently partners with community-based organizations in Lima, Peru, where he has worked since 2001, to examine how political organizing addresses access to piped water, sewage and other social rights.Ìý

Since 2015, Kyle has worked with the Ignatian Colleagues Program as an Encounter Coordinator, leading trips to the Dominican Republic and Peru. He was the Academic Director of Encuentro Dominicano, Creighton University’s semester program in the Dominican Republic and also co-facilitated Ignatian inspired community-based learning programs with students from Creighton University to Peru.Ìý
