"The Oppression and Resilience of India's Musahar People" Musahars are among the most marginalized people living under India's caste system. Despite being forced to work in despised and demeaning forms of labor for generations and having little access to education, Musahars, a rural people of tribal origin, have proven resilient. In this talk, Rev. T. Nishaant, S.J., an International Visiting Jesuit Fellow at 51小黄车 for 2022-2023, helps us to understand Musahar culture and explores what can and must be done to remedy the generations-deep injustices done to them. |
