About the Speaker: Yaakov Katz is military correspondent and defense analyst for the Jerusalem Post and the Israel correspondent for Jane's Defence Weekly, the international military magazine. His first book, "Israel vs. Iran: The Shadow War," became a national bestseller in Israel in 2011 and was released in the U.S. in 2012. He is currently serving as a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, where he is researching the use of censorship in the digital ages, particularly in coverage of Israel and the Middle East.
About the Talk: In his talk, Yaakov Katz outlines the multiple security threats to Israel as well as Israel's ability to defend itself. Then, he focuses on Iran's nuclear program and what it means for Israel. He also offers historical perspective for Israel's position and its case for and against making a unilateral pre-emptive strike against Iran.
