Tricia BushnellAbout the Speaker: Tricia Bushnell is director of the Midwest Innocence Project in Kansas City, Missouri, where she has worked to correct wrongful convictions of the innocent and prevent future injustices through education and legislation. She serves on the executive committee for the global Innocence Network and as president of the ACLU of Missouri. 

About the Talk: Bushnell shares stories of wrongful convictions, explains the difficult appeals process, and exposes the lack of justice for many innocent people caught in the criminal justice system. She also shows how race plays a role in the conviction rates and emphasizes the power that prosecutors wield in shaping the criminal justice system.
