About the Speaker: Alan Mittleman is the Aaron Rabinowitz and Simon H. Rifkind Professor of Jewish Philosophy at The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.He is author or editor of 10 books, most recently "Human Nature & Jewish Thought: Judaism's Case for Why Persons Matter" and he served as director of the major research project “Jews and the American Public Square,” initiated by the Pew Charitable Trusts.
