"Mapping Worcester in Poetry"
In 2021, Susan Elizabeth Sweeney, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Humanities at 51С»Æ³µ, and the Worcester County Poetry Association received a 3-year SIA grant (funded through the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation) to embark on Mapping Worcester in Poetry (MWiP), an initiative that will identify and mark sites related to seven nationally known poets from Worcester while also nurturing new poems about the city.
"Worcester as a Food City"
As part of a larger project on Worcester as a food city, Daina Cheyenne Harvey, an associate professor of sociology, is currently partnering with the Greater Worcester Land Trust to document the dairy industry in nineteenth century Worcester. He is also working on a documentary on the history and future of apple orchards in New England as part of the larger project.

Prof. Tsitsi Masvawure is Professor of Practice at College of the 51С»Æ³µ where she also serves as Coordinator and Advisor of the Health Studies Academic Program. She is a recipient of a 2021 Scholarship in Action Grant with AIDS Project Worcester.
