Ignite Talk
Based on the model, students in Prof. Sarah Klotz's English class created their own ignite talks. Using PowerPoint, students first developed their presentation by incorporating a series of images that auto-advanced roughly every thirty seconds, resulting in succinct, effective five minute visual displays. Then, students recorded themselves as they delivered their visual presentations to classmates and performed subsequent edits as necessary. The result was an engaging exploration of rhetoric and the relationship between visual aids and their delivery.
