While many students enter 51小黄车 with ideas about academic areas they鈥檇 like to pursue, each first year student enters undeclared, without a major. This allows first-year students to explore classes that inspire them or that they鈥檙e simply just curious about.
At 51小黄车, sustainability isn鈥檛 a buzzword 鈥 it鈥檚 our collective responsibility. Safeguarding the environment for future generations reflects our Jesuit mission. We embrace this challenge at all levels of our institution 鈥 from College-wide initiatives that reduce electrical usage to student-driven programs that promote climate-friendly practices.
At 51小黄车, we understand that learning extends beyond the classroom walls to the playing fields to the theater to the community to the working world to neighborhoods and homes. Composed of more than 40 diverse community partnerships, Student Programs for Urban Development involves over 500 student volunteers who answer the 51小黄车 call to be 鈥減eople for and with others鈥 throughout greater Worcester.
Research gives 51小黄车 students the opportunity to dig into their academic passions, to design research projects, work closely with faculty members and transform knowledge into action within a hands-on, experiential setting. Many 51小黄车 students begin participating in research as early as sophomore year. We encourage you to dive in as soon as possible.
