Biography
Dr. Li specializes in Chinese film history, urban cinema, and media industry. Her main research interests focus on urban representations in Chinese film and media productions, and overseas Chinese film distribution. She has published in academic journals, such as Global Storytelling: Journal of Digital and Moving Images, Chinese Literature Today, and contributed book chapters in edited volumes, including From Networks to Netflix: A Guide to Changing Channels, and Film Marketing into the TwentyFirst Century. In addition, she has presented her projects at international conferences, including the Society of the Cinema and Media Studies, Deutsche Vereinigung f眉r Chinastudien, etc. During the 2023-2024 academic year, she also holds a visiting position at the Heinrich-Heine-Universit盲t D眉sseldorf.
